Did you cancel any existing membership first? They usually don't work if there's any form of active subscription on the account.
I didn't. Have too many credits that I need to use up first

@Scaregdearimasu: yeah, why I'm going to get the partner to grab herself a few to use up my credit. I think I'm up to about a dozen books I haven't gone through, so probably need to cancel my subscription for a while anyway.

I don't have an active subscription and although it appears I can do the free trial again, this promo code says "Oops! It seems you are not eligible for this promotion."
