Have you considered an Android tablet or iPad instead?
I am torn between this and the ASUS F302LA which has an i5-5200U but a spinning disk hard disk and only HD screen, whereas this has an SSD and FHD screen, but only a Core M chip. Obviously the F302LA is fatter because it needs a fan, but the jury is out as to whether the Core M can cope with a heavy load, because the fanless designs have to aggressively throttle back the chip to avoid overheating!
If all you need is browsing and office apps, rather than graphics intensive games or serious Mathematica scripts, then I'd jump on this.
All this discussion makes me feel sad that I miss the Dell deal from this morning for ~$800..https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/227983
That is a good deal indeed, but for a different market… the desktop replacement guys will be all over it, but I'm looking for an ultra-portable computer…
Yea I know….but that deal gives SOOO much bang for your money…
If all you are going to be doing is watching movies, youtube, facebook and getting lost in the internet for a bit when you have nothing better to do, I'd consider this, gives you the best of both worlds with tablet/laptop functionality and it charges via microUSB so its easy to charge no matter where you are:

It's going to save you a fair chunk of money. You may have some advise you to steer clear of the 2GB RAM laptops, but with Windows 10 they run sufficiently to let you do what you need. Also comes with a 1 year office subscription.
10.1" is great for portability but it's actually very small compared to a 13.3". The area of each is 290 cm^2 compared with 513 cm^2, so the T100 is basically half the size (44% smaller)! If you're just watching videos, sure, just put the screen closer, but if you want to use the keyboard it's a bit uncomfortable.
I almost got a Transformer T100 but instead bought a keyboard for my 10.5 inch Samsung tablet, planning to use it only for writing (and Internet use), but I soon realised it was too small for me. Obviously it's a personal thing but it's important to consider whether the screen size will meet your needs.
OK just purchased this, on checkout through ebay it directed me to Paypal and said payment of $678.30 etc, confirm. Paid done.
On paypal recent activity it says payment made to Shopping express of $798.00.
mmmmm
As I understand it, the seller gets the full amount, so that's correct; $798 to SE. Just that eBay pays the difference so also correct that you paid $678.
sigh paid 699 through website
