Looking for a New Monitor

With all the sales happening recently, I'm looking to purchase a monitor with a HDMI port for under $200.

I'll be using the monitor for my Macbook Air and/or Raspberry-Pi

i just need full HD maybe DVI port ok. thinking to have semi office/home pc setup with 2 monitors.
it is really necessary to have monitor with hdmi in my situation? price with hdmi is much higher

  No, picture quality will be the same for dvi or hdmi. Main difference is that hdmi can carry audio.

      DVI came out as the first method to connect monitors. Then HDMI came out later with the ability to carry audio and video over the one cable.
      You get no audio benefit if your monitor doesn't have speakers. The benefit would be smaller plugs on the back of the monitor and computer and re-using HDMI cables you might already have
