    Don't forget cash rewards.

    • +1

oh hey, with cash rewards the final price is 238.14, I believe. That would make it the cheapest it's ever been?

  • +1

Is this chair any good? Any one has this? want to comment?

    • +3

Nice chair. Don't think, just get it.

        Don't think, just get it.

        capitalism?

        • Common sense for this great chair.

        • Don't think, just share it would be communism

As someone who bought it a few weeks ago - it's good if you don't lean back very often.

I have a crappy upper back. I bought this chair because it has adjustable tilt on the seat and the back and the ability to lock them in place. So I've got it locked into a medium backward tilt (10-20 degrees from vertical) all the time and put some of my weight on the back mesh.

The first chair took 2 weeks for my back to start hitting the hard plastic behind the mesh. Thinking it was a problem with that one chair I got it replaced. The replacement took a little longer, 3-4 weeks, but the same thing happened.

I weigh 85kg. The weight limit is 150kg.

The seating is great. It's a very comfortable chair. But in spite of it's leaning back features you're not meant to lean back in it much.

      • the Buro Persona (posted below) looks like something well suited for you

for me I lean back on it all the time and it feels good, I weigh a lot less though.

        • Yeah, my plan is to try and get a non-mesh replacement like the Persona.

      • +1

I weigh 85kg. The weight limit is 150kg.

THat's a bit of a waste, don't you think? You can make up for it by letting someone sit on you when you're on the chair.

Doesn't have to be someone, it can be something too, like a 60kg bookcase.

How much does a real doll weigh?

  • Thinking of getting one as well,
Officework site has only one review.

    ======
The KAB Buro Metro Task Chair is a great buy for the price.
This chair has high quality metal components providing durability.
A range of adjustment options and a very comfortable foam padding make this seat very comfortable for long periods of time.
The mesh back allows for great breathability and cooling.

Well worth the extra money for a chair that will last a very long time and is far better for posture and comfort.

It has 10 year warranty and recommended for use of more than 8 hours which is not bad i think.

Ikea has the $200 Markus chair with a 10 year guarantee on all moving parts (not material). Bloody comfy but not sure if it's better than the above.

Anybody got the Buro Persona chair currently available at Staples for ~$225 with their 25% sale?

Looks like a sturdier back than Metro?

For any one who is planning to buy this chair from staples, use cash rewards 6.4%. I am not sure quality of the chair, so wont comment on it.

    • +1

the persona looks more comfortable on the back

      • +3

Since I can't find any direct comparisons, I bought both the Metro and Persona just in case. Will return the one that is less comfortable once I get them

        • Please let us know too!

          @mgowen: Me three!

        • Hi there, just wondering what are the updates about the chairs? Thanks!

    • +3

      I've used both.

The Metro padding is more comfortable and supportive, but I'm not a fan of the mesh back they used. I found the mesh on the Metro to have a kind of cheap, rough feel to it, compared to some others I've tried in the past. The Persona is well built but it's huge, both in width and height. Couldn't get my arse to comfortably sit far enough back, and the lumbar support is also not very prominent. The arms seem like a bit of an afterthought as well, they rattle a lot, however, they can be removed if you wish.

Of the two, I would probably recommend the Metro.

      • Hi Everyone,
So I've had both chairs assembled for about 2 weeks now, here is what I think of both:

Persona - Firmer, more supportive back (as it's not mesh), but the handles do rattle and seem like an after thought. Another weird thing is even when the piston is on the lowest setting, the chair remains tall and my feet is just touching the ground (no such problems on Metro). The fabric/upholstery texture is not as nice as it is rougher to the touch.

Metro - feels better build overall, slightly more comfortable cushion for the butt, handles don't rattle and feels more integrated (but strangely one of them seems to not go down a bit further than the other one?). The biggest negative about this chair is the mesh back, it doesn't feel as supportive if you lean all the way back into it and made me wonder how long the tension of the mesh will stay for.

So pros and cons to both chairs and to be honest, I am not sure which one I will keep for now, have to decide by Monday. Any advice, people?

        • Sorry, bit late… If you feel the Metro is more comfortable, keep that. It comes with a 10 year or so warranty, so I wouldn't worry too much about the mesh.

  • Ah well just bought it after reading a number of review. The final price after the Ebay discount is $249.9 though as oppose to the $253.3 price listed. Also that's before the 4% cashreward cash back thingo.

Time to ditch my old chair.

      • +1

        Obviously didn't happen.

      • just rang them and none left, had 2 this morning damaged carton, only ones left now are $294

        • +2

So you saw it $150 damaged, not clearance.

@Chef-Johnson: Wishing you a happy new year, oh i didn't neg you

Reasonable chair, just make sure there's no rip in the mesh, mine arrived from Officemax with a small rip.

After sitting in a Herman Miller Aeron at my new workplace it's fairly easy to say what I'll be buying next..

    • +2

To be fair, if you spend triple the amount on a chair you'd expect it to be much better.

Time to buy some $100 Mmmmmmonster HDMI cables. Gotta be 100x better compared to the Ozbargainers cheapies 😬

        • They seem like a very odd chair to me, kinda uncomfortable too

  • Just sat on one at officeworks, pretty nice sturdy chair.

  • sold out ?

    • doesn't appear to be the case, still stock available

      • 0 available / 15 sold in one hour

        • I can still add it to my cart?

        • well very odd, definitely wont let me.

        • (Deleted) (Forgot it was on the Ebay site)

  • This cost soooooo much… is it really worth this price? not sure if I should buy this or a cheaper chair for around 100.

    • We got one from ikea, $90.

      It's good!

      • can you give me link? I do need one around 150 or lower

        • -2

I got the lillhojden in black. I would rate it 5 stars.

It might be cheap now, but will most likely break after using it for a couple of years.

This is my review on the buro chair from a previous post

When I first saw this chair, I thought to myself who would spend 300+ on a chair!
Now you can have it for less than $250!
The 4 chairs I bought previously from OW (around $100 each) only lasted a couple of years then it starts to break and become uncomfortable.
There is also a whirlpool discussion page.

          My own review:
Money well spent. It's very comfortable and my back would thank me later :

    • +1

It's worth it, you won't have to buy another chair for a long time, especially with 10 years warranty. :)

  • +1

    Purchased one - hope I won't regret it :)

  • Thanks OP got one for work. :)

  • Bought one, never bought any chair for that much yet, thanks OP.

  • Out of stock now in NSW, as now have to "click and collect".

  • Nooo….

  • Still haven't received mine from last year. Anyone else ?

  • Minimum height is not low enough, feet don't touch floor firmly, I'm not short either.
