  • amazing price, even at $299 its cheap as hell.

  • My G 2014 crapped itself recently, just bought this. Thanks!

  • I am new to Moto phones, is this the latest model in the series ?

  • +1

which one is better, Huawei P8 Lite or this? does Moto support Telstra 4G? thanks

    • All good for Telstra and Optus but seems to miss Band 5 for Vodafone 4G? Correct me if I am wrong guys.

      • I'm not very savvy when it comes to phones. Do you know if it will support my existing TPG SIM? Thanks!

        • Should do but keep in mind that TPG just switched from Optus to Vodafone as their provider. Even with Band 5 missing on Vodafone it has support for Band 3 and all 3G bands. It is not ideal for Vodafone customers but it will still work OK on 4G if you live in a Metro city and don't venture out too much.

        • @sylon: Ahh I see, thanks!

  • Redemption Coupon has expired, the coupon should read "CELEBRATE2015"

  • Not negging but was $249 on 24/12 at Good Guys Caringbah.

    • Yes, but it's not anymore. What is it with ppl always bringing that it was cheaper at some point? Especially when the deal referred to doesnt appear to be posted.

It may have been cheaper but that deal's over and this is the new deal/bargain.

      • +3

        Two things here:

        1) If someone is referring to any earlier posted deal, then he/she should post the link along with the comment, so that fellow OzBargainers have some base to believe in it and check the link themselves.

        2) Such comment, along with the previously posted deal link, is always helpful for others to compare how good/bad deal it was in the past or it is at present and to take a wise decision about their purchase. '

Any deal gains much more informative value when we compare it with the past deals of the same product. It's like this - saying it's 23 degree temperature today versus saying that it's 23 degree temperature today and it's the lowest it has ever got in month of December in the last 10 years. Which one is more useful comment?

    • This is cheaper if you use cashrewards.

  • Heads up that it's the same price but with free delivery at Officeworks eBay:

    • Only see 299 here

      • +1

        After the 15% discount?

        • I'm an idiot. Yes that works. Shame you need to go to checkout to apply that code.

    • Thanks.

      Out of stock now, though.

    • You can Click & Collect for free at GG.

  • Dual Sim?

Do you know if both sim 1 and 2 are 3G/4G capable? Of 1 sim on 4G and another will be just 2G for voice?

  • -1

or can get a white one from kogan ebay for $240.44 shipped

    • edit: nevermind thats the 8gb one with 1gb ram

  • How would this compare to say a samsung s5? Battery and camera quality are important

  • 8gb storage though

    • +2

Negative. 16Gb. 8GB version of the 3rd Gen was not released in Australia.

      • Thanks for clarification

  • Wondered about future Android updates on this ? Also thinking of Samsung S5 or Oppo R7 when on special ?

    • This will beat Samsung and Oppo at Android updates and battery life. But Samsung and probably Oppo have more high end features like NFC or fingerprint scanner that Moto G lacks.

  • +2

Bugger! Just bought this for $299 from Good Guys online 2 days ago! If only I had waited 1 more day for this special!

  • This or pay the extra $180 or so for an LG g4 ..?

    • All the G4s that are in the 450 range right now are grey imports, which is why I chose this. G4 is still a great deal though.

  • $254.15 is a very good price considering it is a newer model . I posted this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221995 last time when it was 20℅ off and is still expensive that today's 15% . good find OP
