Hello Everyone,
In September a deal for 1 year on 3 devices or 3 years on 1 device was offered by F secure Freedome, today that subscription expired. I know someone else who also subscribed at the same time and he has the same expiry.
Does anyone know if I misunderstood something, or did the latest update from F secure removed this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Even if you didn't update the software it would still cease to function once they revoke the cd keys right?

I have done some further investigation and found many people have had this problem in the fsecure community. They all had different length subs but all seem to have had subs cancelled after 3 months. Thought it was too good to be true.

Hello Everyone,
We are now expiring the Freedome subscription codes which are linked to trial F-Secure Safe licenses; as the free year of Freedome subscription was only for the customers who purchased F-Secure Safe from the campaign.
When we expire those Freedome subscriptions, we will set them to have one week grace period before they expire. If multiple Freedome subscription codes have been used on the same device, the installation will still have one week grace period. We are not expiring all these subscription codes in one run, instead we'll expire them in batches.
Multi-platform subscriptions of Freedome are available through our web pages at https://freedome.f-secure.com/. Single platform subscriptions can be purchased for Apple iPad and iPhones through the Apple App Store and for Android devices through Google Play Store.
Im off to look for another VPN for some more free time if possible. thanx for the 3 free months of downloading without getting pinged holden!

Yep, mine is over in 2 days. Too good to be true, guess I'm on the hunt for a paid VPN. Shame because I was really impressed with this VPN but don't want to reward their behaviour. They should just be upfront and say it is a 3 month trial.
Just wanted to pop by and say the same has happened to me. I had 3 years left last week, now, only 2 days!

yeah mine expired just today.. I dont really approve the amount they are asking for did 3.5gigs of traffic.. about 1 gig a month.. so it cost more than my phone bill.
I had a 3 year license as acquired through a previous deal(freebie) and have been using for about 6 months or so. I noticed it was a bit dodgy because I received multiple emails from the company saying "your trial is ending soon", even though I had registered for a subscription on 2 different computers. Now it is saying that I have only 1 day of protection left before it expires completely. Will see what happens tomorrow. It seems like they are reneging on all the free cd keys they gave away but this is not fair at all.

same to me. Was seriously willing to purchase if the price was right but this going back on their word has made me shun them.

Hey mate i just updated my app as i haven't used it in a while now and after updating the only thing i noticed was instead of showing i had 3329 days left it changed to valid till feb 7 2025
I did it alot of times when my deal was up lol.
Perhaps contact F-secure to ask what happened?
I did however receive an email from them saying the following, however it doesn't seem to of affected my time left at all.
"You are currently using Freedome VPN for free as a trial user for F-Secure SAFE. To continue using Freedome VPN you should purchase a subscription for F-Secure SAFE."
