Xiaomi Miband 1s Heart Rate

They are sold by Geekbuying for $24, Gearbest for $28 and Tinydeal for $28.40. I don't have experience of buying from any of them. Can someone please recommend me a trustworthy seller?

Also, people who are already using the non-heartrate monitor version, does the band provide data for cycling and swimming? And are the data provided reasonably accurate? Thanks.

Can't comment on that particular product, but my fitbit has the same sensor. It works fine. Apparently it isn't as accurate as a chest strap (for workouts), or a hospital one (obviously).

I think it helps that i'm not a hairy bear man too. and AFAIK they dont work if you have tattoos.

As for all 3 of those websites, i've ordered from all of them. It's going to take a long time to arrive, like a month

I wouldn't use it for swimming as it's rated as IP67 which provides protection against water immersion up to 1m and for up to 30 minutes while IP68 is protected against complete, continuous submersion in water.

The heart rate version doesn't provide continuous readings either. You have to use the app to get a reading.

    • Thanks for the valuable info.
Any recommendations for a cheap band for swimming?

      • My only experience is with the Mi Bands. Find a band with IP68 and Google for some reviews.

  • first version mi band can track movement (walking or running) plus sleeping pattern and use it as a smart vibrating alarm to wake up

  • I have both, the heart rate feature is useless (not continuous and must be manually triggered) and inaccurate at best, and takes a toll on the battery life.

    • For some reason holding my arm up near my chest would give me ~60 and anywhere else ~160. Give that a shot and see.

  • I don't think advertising my stuff on ozbargain is acceptable, but you did ask. I'm selling the Xiaomi Miband 1s Heart Rate at the moment. I'm local (NSW) & will match any local seller's price & beat those chinese websites by a month in delivery.
You can search for 'style-i-trade' on ebay.

    • Unless one of those sites decides to offer free express ;)

On a more serious note, the classified is where you go to sell your own stuff.

  • This talk of the Mi Band got me curious so I went digging about it. You're right it's disappointing it isn't continuous heart rate monitoring, though I guess that might eat into battery life. Would be nice if they made a competitive product that was accurate and able to take on Fitbit.

I also came across this coupon for Gearbest (coupon code: GBMI1S) that brings the price down to $25.79 USD, since the Geekbuying price seems to have gone up.
