    Rates well at dxomark. In real world use you'd have to check user reviews…

    This is $773 at digidirect for any Melbourne peeps who prefer to pick up.

  I think I would rather go with a Canon 24-105mm L series for about the same price (DWI=$779 Kogan=$799). The L series lenses are close to bulletproof, where as Sigma can be a hit or miss.

  I have had great service from my 24-105L for several years now (bought from Kogan), and my Sigma 17-50mm is good, but it was the 3rd one I tried in the shop before I found one that didn't have a soft lower right corner. I would NEVER buy a Sigma online.

  Also, grey means nothing with L Series because they have an international warranty anyway.

  It renders very similar to the canon lens, which is smaller and lighter. If I was a canon shooter their lens would be a no brainer. You have to buy this lens from a retailer that will let you send it back with no hassle.

    We are an Authorised dealer & purchase all of our Sigma stock from C.R. Kennedy.
    All Sigma lenses come with a 2 year Australian warranty with C.R. Kennedy (5 years for the 18-250mm DC Macro OS lens)
