  • I'd stick with getting it from a more reliable source- Officeworks. The Dick will do nothing but stuff you around for 2-3 weeks and eventually(after you having to chase it up) will tell you it's out of stock. Too many headaches with Dickie. I gave up after 3 cancelled christmas orders. Never shop with them again. My officeworks will always price match them anyway.

    • I hope that Dick Smith can get it together for Click & Collect. They just had all the orders in bags behind the counter, i.e. no dedicated area with proper sorting/organisation for C&C. Woolworths is doing C&C a lot better at the moment IMO, just would require some executive action to get them up-to-date.

And they really gotta do something to prevent cancelled Xmas orders!

Note that Fitbit Charge large or Small is $98 at Officeworks… so the 5% guarantee is no good…

    • Could get Dick Smith to price match OW or HN in that case for an even bigger discount? Or get the Charge HR from OW at a price match from HN http://www.harveynorman.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=Fitbi…

I think DS and HN just match the price, only OW beats it by 5%. So the best you could do is get $1 off from HN or DS to match the OW price.

        • Wonder if Rebel still beat by 10 % as they once did. Hmm.

          Ohhh. Anaconda does.

        • @MissMurd3r:

          The wiki says:
Rebel Sport -Price Match at their discretion

But also shows Anaconda does 10% discount.

They have what they call the "Fitbit Charge Wireless Activity + Sleep Wristband" which seems to be the same item (it comes in Slate or Black and Large and Small)
          http://www.anacondastores.com/sports/electronics/fitbit-char…

The procedure to price match seems a bit complicated. You'd need to get an "official document from the other retail store" like a printed DS flyer from your mailbox or a signed quote or dated receipt. Seems like they won't just check the website. http://www.anacondastores.com/shop-anaconda/play-more-pay-le…

But seems to me you would get 10% off $98 or $99 so around $90.

@MissMurd3r: If you're really keen on this price beating, seems like The Good Guys hasn't updated the price for the Slate Large Fitbit Charge (although the price of the Black one is updated to $98)

          http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/fitbit-charge---slate-large-27…
They will do a "120% of the difference" "within 30 days".

So if you paid the $176 listed price, the difference is $78, 120% of the difference is $93.60 so you would essentially pay $176 and get a 93.60 refund for a total charge of $82.40.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume you could just buy it online then fill out this page: http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/30-day-price-guarantee

Edit: Seems like you would need to pay the $5 delivery so it's $87.40?

  • Had one ordered from their eBay site just before Christmas at this price. Expected to be stuffed around and Dick didn't let me down. Had the call from the store where I selected pick up at that I would be refunded my money as there was none in stock. This is about the third time they have screwed me on an online purchase and there won't be a forth. I wonder how long it will be before I get my money back this time?
