Refund or Exchange @ Harvey Norman

I've placed an order for a Nespresso U Solo from Harvey Norman, upon picking it up, the sales assistant brought out a Nespresso U Milk.
At that point I didn't notice until I got home that he had given me the wrong machine.
The problem with click and collect @ Harvey Norman is that the receipt is emailed at a later time and not straight away.
Does this also mean that I'm not eligible for Nespresso cash back offer as well since the model on the receipt and the model of the machine don't correspond?

And should I take it back to Harvey Norman for an exchange?

  • Isn't the u milk more expensive? I wouldn't worry about cash back if I was given a $234 (184 cash back) for a $148 (98 cash back).

    • I'm actually more worried about the warranty since I'll need to provide Nespresso with a receipt of purchase?

  • This is against ACL. You have every right to approach HN and ask for the correct item to be handed over. Failing this would render the purchase void and you would be entitled to a refund.
