Cracked screen Note 5, no impact?

Hi there, I bought a Note 5 from the Australian Samsung website 4 weeks ago and just today the screen cracked right across the centre but it was strange. It happened out of nowhere, it didn't drop or get hit with any force? It has a tempered glass screen protector and double layer casemate cover so lots of protection and yet the crack is on the actual glass not the screen protector.

Is there anyway of proving it wasn't dropped and may have been a faulty screen and replaced under Samsung Australia warranty?

And if not, do you know of any good screen repair places in Adelaide? Preferably southish.

  • If you have the tempered glass screen protector unscathed, then I think you have a case to bring it to Samsung as a warranty repair.

That intact tempered glass is proof enough in my opinion, that you didn't drop it.

And even if you did drop it, I thought it would be strong enough to withstand certain amount of forces.

  • Just try you luck and see if you get it replaced under warranty. They would also argue that you may of changed the case or tempered glass after impact. My note 3 started to delaminate and wasn't covered under warranty because the case was full of knocks and stuff. Warranty is a real pain with these guys! Good luck!

Also maybe it was in your back pocket and you accidental bent it?
