    • Just got one. Thank you :-)

  • This looks like the cheapest deal posted for the 1200D (after all the discounts/cashbacks). Worth getting at this price? Or is the equivalent Nikon a better camera?

    • +1

I think the Nikons are better.

    • +1

Camera wise, the Nikon is better. But if you're thinking of getting some lenses, examine both Canon and Nikon lenses carefully before jumping onto one brand or the other.

  • +1

    Confuse :S

Should I get the Ps4 or wait for Boxing Day sales

    • +1

      Wait for Boxing Day.

below offers will still be available.

$50 Off $350 Spend Using Amex Offer
      $25 Off $150 Spend

      • I was just thinking about this and you made me decide to not buy today and wait for Boxing Day. Thanks.

        • This sale price for the PS4 ends today. But most likely there will be similar deals come boxing day.

        • @draistlin: I figure it's not too much of a sale since EBGames and other shops also sell 500GB PS4's for $390~ish. Waiting for Boxing Day sounds like a fair enough risk.

  • does my commbank diamond awards amex card count???

    • yep. Just used my platinum cba. bought the Canon :)

    • +1

yes it should. make sure to register amex offer before purchase

Just rem guys the cashback on the canon camera ends today for those wondering so last purchase date to quality if 24th Dec

    • +1

Its awesome when deal posters go the extra length with crucial reminders like this. Cheers.

  • Rang up quite a few Harvey Normans and they seem to only have the old PS4 in stock and not the C-chassis.

    • What's the C-chassis?

  • 322 Kappa

  • Didnt worry about stacking and price matching. I just used the 25$ voucher on a couple more controllers.

  • If you are in Sydney, Blacktown HN had a few CU-1204A in stock couple hours ago

    • +1

Do you also neg deals which aren't available in your town or state?

    • By ur thinking, ppl in WA should neg aldi/Costco deals since they're not available to us

      • -1

I have seen American Express (…) deals before but I didn't neg them because they were correctly titled. This deal, it should not consider the price after AE. Price after $25 voucher or any coupon is acceptable, otherwise this deal is TARGETED to AE holders.

  • If I buy this deal from a Harvey Norman inside a Westfield, there should be no problem using my $50 gift card I have?

What do you need to do to get the $50 Amex discount? I'll be using my brothers Amex.

Looking to get the white PS4. Then will get Just Cause 3 from JB using a gift card too.

EDIT: Actually if I use gift card it will bring total Amex cost below $350, so no good.

EDIT: Just rang to HN in the Valley, Brisbane, and the guy had no bloody idea what I was talking about in reference to the model number (1000,1100,1200). He was trying to tell me that relates to hard drive size and game bundles etc.
He said they don't have white anyway. But if I add white to my cart online it says available at Valley store. So don't know what happens when I go to collect from there…?

    • -1

Just order it online and and click and collect before it's too late

    • Why would a Hardly Normal staff know anything about the products they’re selling?

  • I don't know if anyone is still interested, but I just snagged myself a 1TB Xbox One bundle with 3 games (http://www.harveynorman.com.au/games-gaming-consoles/game-co…) for $349.

    This is what I did:

Went onto their live chat - asked them to price match with JB Hifi (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/games/Gaming-Consol…) to bring it down to $399.

Paid with AMEX for $50 credit - so all up, $349.

I don't know if anyone has posted that but I thought it's a pretty good deal - close to the mistaken deal Target posted a few weeks ago. Hope it's useful for others!

    :o)

    • Pretty good. I think the Kinect bundle is also good value if you have a lot of external drives already floating around to upgrade the storage.

  • Well, I got my $50 Amex and price match to target $368. Plus price matched a second controller and a game.
Unfortunately, they said the $25 was not available with price match or any other offer.
I tried online chat with a rep and they said I could only do one or the other. I sent them a link to this thread, but this couldn't give a rip. So best really is $368 - 50 (Amex). If you got $25 off aswell, that would take it below $350, so you wouldn't get the Amex offer - unless you add some accessories to bump it back up then lol

    • -3

even with the price match $368, once you take off the $25 voucher price you are then ineligible for the amex offer because if would have taken it under $350

      • Fail That is what I just said.

        • Lol woops should have read full comment, quick to neg though, you got the deal right?

  • Got mine today, $318. Tried to get the online chat clerk to price match for me, so then I could try and use $25 voucher as well, but they said the $368 Target/Big W price was In Store Only.
Went to HN Carindale, Brisbane and they had about 9 of each colour, Model CUH-1202A.

The clerk convinced me to get a 2yr product care, I said no, but then he dropped price to $70, and said I get 20% off games, so got Just Cause for $54 (which I was already going to buy from JB for $59).
So essentially the product care only cost me an extra $65, and includes a brand new replacement if anything goes wrong, which he said includes giving me a PS5 if that's the current PlayStation in a couple of years. Hard to believe that though.

Still, it gives me 20% off games (including sale price), 20% off printer ink, 25% off Belkin accessories, and other stuff.

Got a message from my Amex straight after I bought it, saying $50 credit.
    :-)

    Thanks OP

  • Anyone knows if the Amex $50 credits applies to bank issued AMEX cards?

    • Yes, you have to sign up at the Amex connect website first. I have a Westpac Black AMEX.

I actually received the $50 cash back confirmation email from Amex before the Harvey Norman order confirmation arrived in my inbox! It was basically instant.

I ended up with the Kinect bundle, as the Kinect seems to sell used for $100 making the console and games only $273 if I wanted to sell it (but I'll try it out first). I have read reviews that using external USB 3 HDDs is faster than the on board and I have heaps lying around to use without needing to buy one.

I also picked up the Xbox digital tv tuner for $29 (25% off) at Microsoft store with free express shipping. Hopefully the Kinect and TV-in makes for a good entertainment setup!

Oh and I got a few AAA games for sub $40 from eBay/CR with the 15%+4% off deal through Target! Looking forward to Fallout 4.

  • So is this the new version the C chassis one?

  • any 1 got the console already? is it the CUH-1202?

    • +1

Mine is, got it from Harvey Norman Carindale, Brisbane.

      • Bonus

  • +1

Went in to pick up the PS4 today, got out to my car and realised it was the old model. Went in, explained there was a newer model, and they didn't have any idea there was any difference. I gave them the model number and they went and looked out back, only had the newer model in black, so I exchanged for it with no issue at all. Not a fan of HN 99% of the time, but they were able to show off some customer service skills today.

    • Harvey norman has been better than most retailers the past year with good deals, extra $ off with codes and usually plenty of stock :)

      • They still have horrible pricing on their prebuilt PC's and Laptops, but that is the norm for the big retailers anyway. $4000 for a typical gaming machine, lol. Good on them if they actually get anyone to buy it at that price. I'd only shop there with deals, clearance, etc. In this case I used the $25 voucher, which was enough for me.

    • +1

When I called up HN to enquire about the model number, was told some absolute bullcrap about "that's just referring to the hard drive size, and the package, whether it's bundled with games, etc."
Tried to explain it to him 3 times as politely as possible, before giving in.

Second place I called, the lady told me some rubbish guess, and I flat out said "that's wrong". Eventually got through to her, but she wasn't willing to open one up to check the model number (turns out it's printed on the box), but she did say it was new December stock. It was CUH-1202A.

    • which store may i ask?

      • +1

        2 posts up ^^^

        • Yeah I knew where you get yours and I was asking DJ-89 lol..Anyway I have checked my closest HN and they only have the 1100 model.

  • Have been told via email contact with the store that mine is the new model PS4. That was after they contacted me to ask if I still wanted a couple of the games as they were display items that had already been opened…

    • PS4 arrived, was the old model despite email confirmation to the contrary. Typical HN screw up.
