  • Awwsome!! Was gonna buy the Apogee collection off Steam during the upcoming sale, but already have half the titles. This was the main one I wanted that I was missing… and "free" trumps US$10 any day!!

If I could upvote this again, I would. :-D

  • When I went to check out I also had "StarGunner" in my cart for free .. don't know where that came from.

  • +2

    OMG.. EGA graphics!!!

    • Cool! I used to dream of EGA graphics. CGA had four colours [except in Hi-res mode, Google "Alleycat]- Groan, Puke, Rot and Bleergh.

      • How dare you knock Alleycat! I LOVE THAT GAME! Still so fun to play lololol

        • Weren't :-P. That was Hi-rez, which was 640x480! As for EGA, text was a lot better in EGA text mode than VGA, it's just that VGA offered 256 colours versus 16…

    • It can display of 16 simultaneous colors from a palette of 64 at a resolution of up to 640×350 pixels!!! That's 4x better than my CGA monitor!

    • haha… EGA was bee's knees back in the 286 days for sure. Playing Sierra games on EGA graphics was cool.. hehe.. But I had to content with my CGA being a poor kid at the time.

      • I had VGA on my Amstrad 8086 XT.

        • I dont remember Amstrad ever making XT's / 8086. Their oldest models were the 286 and 386's..

        • Your parents must be really loaded! I had CGA on my 8088 XT and my dad said it was very expensive.

        • @bchliu:
          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amstrad

There were plenty of 8086 models.

        • @zealmax: Oh OK… My memory failed me.. I had a CPC6128 at the time and upgraded to a no name XT. Should have gotten an Amiga instead back then and life would have been very different..

  • cheers

  • Ah, bio menace brings back memories… Nah just kidding, I was still shitting my pants when this came out.

    Cool freebie though.

    • I was still going to good parties too - haven't woken up on a front lawn for yonks…

  • I remember playing the shareware version of this game on my on 386.. oh man those were the days! The best thing about that game is it never ended for me, I don't know if it was a glitch, part of the game or sheer luck… but when I got to he end of the game it somehow went to the next chapter… I didn't even have it! but it still let me play on like it was the fullversion.. WHICH BLEW MY FREAKING MIND!

    how was this sorcery conducted?

either way I put lots of hours in this :D

just wondering, does GOG have a leanback on the couch experience like Steam Big Picture mode?
