Help Me to Find Any Suitable Studies or Employment. Long Term Unemployed :-(

Dear OzBargainers,

I would like to thanks for all Ozbargainers who posted amazing deals during the past years and its great pleasure to see how many good people in this earth. Thanks for your time and effort.

I lost my employment in late 2012 due to redundant position. After completing my IT Degree ( Network design & Security- Swinburne University) I was managed to enter into Traineeship ( managed IT service provider as IT helpdesk Analyst ).I had a contract for one year and I was able to extend employment verbally after my initial traineeship. My Boss was really greedy person and always tried to keep me under minimum payments without signing new contract. One stage they lost client and they immediately terminate my employment on 2012 . I always do my best for Customers and did my job reasonably well. Since then I have been unemployed for 4 years and unable to make clear decision about my future . I'm happy to undertake any activity that can secure me to feed my big family. I have three kids and two of them are under three. Currently I'm getting government payments but I'm always guilty of getting payments because its not my hard earned money and I'm happy if I can spend my own money.

Dear friends do you have any suggestions how I can start work again .. I'm out of studies and employment for long term and mature age now (40), I know how fast IT things change and I'm in very uncertainty about my future. ( Sorry about my writing style ..after 4 years I'm writing some sort of few sentences ..)
Thanks again and really appreciate your kind advise..

    • Way to go mate. Kick someone while their down. He is asking for help and you belittle him…

IT Security bounties from FB/enterprise sites might help give a cashflow injection if youre in that niche.

Aged Care is an option if you don't mind that sort of thing. Study only takes half to one year part-time I think. Pay is ordinary but there's a big demand for it so you shouldn't have trouble finding work.

  • Thanks guys really appreciate at least few of good guys here..

I don't know why colinjames got negged so badly. You said you were a helpdesk analyst, these types of jobs should be easy to walk into assuming you don't live in the middle of nowhere, but you need to be able to communicate well. It's obvious from your post that your english needs work, and this would be the case with a lot of professions. Have you considered doing some language classes to work on this?

    • i agree. your communication skills might really be letting you down. how you speak immediately impacts somebody's perception of you. even if you have the technical skills, if you cannot communicate effectively, you will not get a job. some community help groups run free or low cost english classes - maybe have a google and see what you can find.

  • Uber driver - a friend is doing it and making great $$ and choose your own hours etc

    • That's great idea mate.. Thanks!

  • Stop having kids for starters.
