Dropped past Tasman Meats in Oakleigh (1358-1360 North Road Oakleigh South) on the way home from work today - was pretty surprised a week before Christmas to see that their Ingham frozen turkey buffe was all half price. It was an in store special and marked as "while stocks last".

In case you're not up to date with your turkey cuts, buffe is esstially the whole breast and legs still on the cage. Perfect for stuffing with your favourite turkey stuffing and roasting.

I got a size 32 (3.2kg) for about $17 and a size 40 (4.0kg) for $22. There was at least 30 left at 5pm today.

  Awesome thanks op. Just grabbed a 4 kilo buffe for $22. Still had heaps left on Friday morning, including size 78 whole turkeys. Any idea if this should be stuffed prior to cooking?

    I have stuffed it before and it has worked out really well. If you have a food processor it's really easy to make a nice stuffing. Try one of these combos if you like:
    - bread (for volume), dried apricots, hazlenuts, sage, olive oil, salt and pepper
    - bread (for volume), dried cranberries, macadamias, thyme, olive oil, salt and pepper

    I didn't see the whole turkeys there, but I'm not sure that 8 kilos of bird is practical for my household anyway!

  Still 10 odd left as at 12 pm today. A wide range of sizes. Grabbed a 32 for $17 odd. Great price!
