Help with iPhone 3GS plans on Three!! If you have this I've got some questions.

My plan is running out soon (April 1st) and I was looking to get an iphone 3gs 16/32gb on Three.
Now as a bargain lover I'd like to be paying as little as possible.
I've made some questions that I hope some of you can help me with!

  • Where is the best place to order for discounts? (Phone, Internet, Store) Keeping in mind I'm an existing customer?
  • What sort of codes or discounts can I use to make it cheaper?
  • Are there any sort of loyalty discounts or bonuses I can get for being a customer for over 6 years?

Also I am quite unimpressed with the 250mb included on the $49 cap, I'd like at least 500mb.
The main thing is the cost as I want to spend under $60 a month and with the phone it's already
$59 a month on the 32gb and $54 a month on the 16gb.

Does anyone have any ideas or anything they've done themselves?

I'd love to hear about deals other people have gotten with the iphone on three just so i can make sure
i'm getting my money's worth! Your help is much appreciated.

    Why don't you go 16gb on the $49 cap with extra $6/month for additional 500meg? = 750meg data

    so 49+5+6 = 60 bucks/month

        500MB for $6 is correct ;)

      That's kind of a rumor though..and leaves me with my partly broken lg viewty for an indefinite period.

    Hi, why do you want to be with 3 anyway. I was with them for some time and found them crap.

    The new iphone will be out in June as it is each year.

    3 has crappy coverage.

    You could try virgin instead if you want.

    If you have a partner then get them to go on virgin. Unlimited free virgin 2 virgin text and calls saves a lot off your cap.

    Alternatively you could just not get the iphone and get something else :P Iphone is overpriced if you compare to the Nokias/HTCs/Blackberrys at the same range.

      I found 3's coverage to be a lot better than optus. I can't comment on virgin though!

      haven't 3 and vodafone merged and now have extra cover?
      i'd think it would be better than virgin's coverage.

        Im using it now and find it pretty bad and I'm living in Sydney CBD.

          3 now can use vodafone network and can roaming in telstra 2g network. so i find the coverage is very good. but because it have to many network to choice, you mobile may not be connected at all (or get on switching network.

          anyway, "RING THREE" OR "CHECK MY 3 UPGRADE", if your current usage higher than your cap or minimum expense, they may give you the 3gs/16g at low price ($25 x 24month)or even free with 1G data.

            @casmxl: what do you mean if my usage is higher than my cap? like if i'm going over my cap?
