I still find this too complicated, just because it's poor value to earn Woolworths dollars in the first place.

You're not guaranteed dollars with every shop, without paying a premium for it.

Just dump the concept of earning dollars/rewards on selected items.

I was contemplating switching to Coles. Because I am finding that I am getting nothing back at all if I don't buy anything with the orange ticket after they switched to Woolworths Rewards. Previously, at least I was getting QFF points. When the new rewards program launched, I thought they were going to match Coles flybuys rewards, instead they launched a program which is less rewarding to their customers than what they had, how stupid is that? Whoever thought that up should be sacked! I know times are tough, but saving money by skimping on loyalty rewards is just going drive your loyal customers away. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I shop with Woolies because of the 5% egiftcard discount. Prices at Coles vs Woolies is much of a muchness despite what their cheap cheap or down down campaigns says. The only supermarket that is consistently mostly cheaper is Aldi.

Hopefully, they will bring back QFF points, or even better, just match Coles flybuys points and call it Woolworths points on top of what they have already with the orange tickets? I know they have the capabilities already given that Everyday rewards belongs to them instead of a 3rd party. It is very dumb to pay Qantas for something that they can already do in-house.

I'm fairly sure we will see suppliers being encouraged to 'buy into' the rewards system. Thus, more orange tickets around the store with rewards $ attached. It will take them a bit to get suppliers on board.

Once they are, I'd anticipate the typical specials cycle changing to more orange tickets rather than an upfront discounted product. Should this happen, the reward $ would rack up quickly.

    Time will tell I guess.

I dont care anymore, I can't just buy the orange ticketed items only. So I will only buy in woolie if the price is cheaper or i'm too lazy to go somewhere else. I just assume i'm not getting any points with woolies.

It's still preferred (stickered) products, so it's as useless as their original change.

Unless you are specifically collecting points for flight redemptions you should stick to the cash option.

The way I see it, they are still forcing you to buy orange sticker items except that now, you have a choice of either getting the $10 off your shopping (if you ever get to that point), or choose to convert that reward to 870 Qantas points. The 'orange sticker condition' still stays.

    • You can get Woolworths dollars without buying any orange sticker items. You just have to take up one of the targeted offers sent directly to your email. There are lots of different offers but in some of them you can choose almost any products you want in order to reach a specific total. This total then allows you to get a certain amount of Woolworths dollars off your next shopping trip.

      • Never have received targeted offers via email. The only ones I get are the ones for family members who have not shopped much with their card, and then we get the $30 off a $100 shop. But we do not receive targeted offers. Not in spam either.

Woolies can't take a trick!. Their latest exercise "Woolworth's Dollars" is a marketing disaster…as an example:

I have been buying the small John West, Tuna Tempters for $0.99 (when on special)for a couple of years…so recently, they offered a price of $1.50 for a WD rebate of $0.50 and the following week a price of $2.00, for the same article, with a WD rebate of $1.00.

So, I would say they have targeted me (as a frequent buyer of this product) for this sham deal, to bring me into the new post Qantas FF era. The only difference is that I have to wait a week for the equivalent discount and in the future I won't get Qantas points.

However, as all Providers use the marketing strategy of lifting the base price and increasing the discount, the only offence caused, is to insult my intelligence by offering "a deal" that's not a deal.

I shop almost exclusively at Woolworths for groceries and have found, over the years, that if you play their game that you will generally finish up ahead , so I am hoping previous OP's are right and when they finally leave Qantas FF's, that their new system will settle down and offer more.

As far as 870 QFF's vs $10…considering that it takes 100,000 points to get off the ground and you can get 1000 points as a bonus in deals that cost you no additional payment…this is a no brainer!

And 870 QFF pts is worth a $5.80 Woolworths eGift Card through QFF Auto Rewards! It's obvious that Woolworths have brought back QFF points to placate angry customers, but at a reduced rate.

  • do they literally just add the money value on top of normal price? i find the whole new rewards rubbish…
i was happy with qantas points… now it is just a complete mess.

fyi i have an offer of a rockmelon at 2.20 with a 1.00 reward
actually think that is good, but the rest are cr*p
