ASUS Cashback on Routers - Activation Email Didn't Blindcopy

We bought an ASUS router which has a $25 cash back. We got a card for the cash back and then ASUS sent out an activate code email. The problem is they sent it out straight to all the receipients instead of blind copying. This meant you could see email addresses for all the people who had received the cashback and card and that the activation code was the same for all the cards.

The has lead to a storm of emails berating ASUS for the epic security fail.

Amongs the classic replies was:
"Hello new friends"
"I wonder how many people are from Ozbargain"
"what's the weather like in Nigeria"
"Not only do we get cashback but a certified email list as well".

My other half's inbox, and spam folders, are overflowing with the "reply all" storm this has caused.

They have now cancelled the activation so people will have to ring up to get their cards activated.
