Thanks. Is the professional worth the extra $27 or so?
Imo yes, it lasts much longer between charges and the professional rotates at higher rpm (ie quicker), so it feels like it gives a better clean.
Thanks. It will be my first time taking the plunge from cheap regular toothbrush to electric ones so was wondering if I should get the basic one first. But might just get the professional
@Jared17: it's the movement (back and forth with a manual toothbrush, in a circular motion with these toothbrushes) that clean your teeth. I find electric toothbrushes do a much better clean if you target the gaps between teeth and the gums (in and out).
If you have a sensitive mouth, the vibrations can be an issue (eg. Tickling).I agree. I was going to get one of the $22.50 brushes but decided to pay the extra & get the Professional 500. I'm glad I did because its really good.
@DeWalt: yeah thanks. My dentist said the same thing. she didn't really push me to change but did say the electric one cleans the gap more effectively
I'm not sure if this one includes 2 brush heads, but the one's at Coles included 2 of them for $22.50
Woolworths has them on special as well. At the same price.
For those who want original heads (I prefer the ebay knockoff myself) they're currently $27/10pk at Costco
http://www.costco.com.au/coupons/c20151203.shtmlShaver shops has floss action heads for $14 at moment
The one in Coles also have different brush bit to choose from.
The Vitality Precision from Chemist Warehouse is also discounted to $21.99: http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/58568/Oral-B-Vitality…
Believe this is the same one the Shaver Shop has on special for a while now at $22.49 if you need yet one more place to buy it from…
FWIW, this is around the same price at Coles this week (on special until next Tuesday at $22.50).
Also noticed today that Coles has the Oral B Professional 500 going for half price as well (was ticketed at $49 and change), which is a great price.
