Ryobi One+ 18V Lithium Battery

Hi All

I purchased a Ryobi ONE+ Drill and Radio about 18 months ago and one of the two 18v Lithium batteries has packed up - it isn't charging at all. I recall that these batteries have a 2 year warranty and the year on the dud battery says 2014. That's great news but I can't find my receipt from Bunnings or find which credit card I used for the payment originally.

Has anyone had any warranty success with Bunnings without a receipt? Would any kind OzBargainers be willing to share a copy of their receipt for any ONE+ product that has the same battery from early 2014 onwards?

Many thanks

  • Bunnings are pretty good in my experience if you dont have the receipt they should be able to swap it over. I had a similar issue and the bunnings store was able to scan back through their records and find my receipt for me provided I could tell them what other items I purchased at the same time. This was for a hose reel I bought 6 months prior and not 18 months as in your case.

    • Thanks - there are 3 Bunnings close by where I live and I'm not even sure which one I bought this one from. It must be old age..!

  • Bunnings is the only place you can get Ryobi from so hopefully you wont have a problem not having a receipt.

    • Yes I hope that they will accept a warranty claim without a receipt..

  • wow 2 years on the battery packs that is good!

do the lights turn on when you try and charge it?

    does it get hot?

  • It is good - I didn't realise until now. When I try to charge that battery I just get a red light and it doesn't do anything..

  • +1

Bunnings exchanged it without too much fuss!
