Click Brand 4-Outlet Power Boards - $0.50 Each from Bunnings

580

Was at Bunnings Dural (NSW) today and noticed they had the 'Click' brand of power boards (4-outlet) for 50c each, marked down from $2.50. (EDIT: According to comments this deal seems to be nationwide, so title has been edited.) On the actual power board they seem to be branded 'Ringgrip'. To me this is a huge bargain as you can never have too much of these in the house.

For what it's worth, there were also 6-outlet powerboards (HPM brand) for $3.50, which aren't bad either.

It doesn't seem to be in a recent catalogue with this deal, and I don't know if there's an expiry on this deal, and whether it's this store only or nationwide, but probably worth posting up anyway - see attached (edited) receipt.

  • If this price extends to Victorian stores then I should visit tomorrow to pick up half a dozen or so :)

    • I think it may well be, if it's in stock. I went to Bunnings to get an antenna wall plate and it was reduced from $8.50 to $3.50 but scanned at the register for $2. So I'm assuming they're having a clearance sale of some sort.

If it's so cheap it makes one feel uneasy about the quality control trajectory for these things, it must be a bargain :)

At least they both have overload protection if I'm reading the receipt correctly. No shortage of folks who carelessly play mix and match with 2400W heaters.

I've never liked the Click ones, the plugging action is far poorer than the HPM ones. Sometimes the plug gets stuck right at the end of its travel, requiring some jiggling to fully plug it in. That socket will eventually get too loose to hold heavier things like non-switchmode power adaptors.

At 50c it's worth the hassle though! I hope they're clearing it to bring back the HPM 4-way ones that they used to have.

Bought 2 from Bunning Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, Qld. It must be a nationwide clearance!

  • I picked up some today at Bonnyrigg (NSW) Bunnings as well.

  • is this in-wall power board?

      No
If it is in wall then it would be a power point

  • Just checked out Bunnings in Joondalup WA. Same old prices there $2.95 for the 4 & $9.95 for the 6 point

    • My local Bunnings haven't had any Click ones for a while now.

  • Purchasesd 20 for $10 yum. 10 left at Oxley store QLD. About 300 left at Stafford Northside of Brisbane. Got a photo of it if other stores need to price match it.

  • None at their Noarlunga store in SA, although I reckon they'd probably qualify as the most useless Bunnings store in the country, so no real surprise.

Did notice lots of other power boards reduced though - not as cheap as this though. Did pick up a 2m extension cord with photo-sensor / manual timer though - shelf price $35, had a $15 clearance sticker on the item, a paper sign marking it down on the shelf to $10, and when it scanned up, it was $5 :)

Pity they don't have a self-scan price checking system like Big W / Target / Kmart etc - you could spend days scanning crap to find bargains!

  • Got 6 from Bunnings Gosford yesterday, they are clearly marked 50c there. There was about 20 left.

  • Just purchased last 2 from bonnyrigg
