It's not that bad. Just be a bit careful with the phone compartment hinge and it's fine.
My biggest issue is how tight the cover and lights button clearance is.
There's an app for that… no seriously… Bethesda made a pip boy app that supposedly syncs with your game
I know it's on android, not sure if it is on iOS as I don't own one.

It's on Android, iOS and Windows Phone. Note that the WP app has a hard minimum of 1GB RAM.

Just thought I'd mention for the Pip Boy owners that the Telstra Tempo (ZTE T815) that's currently at $29 at BigW works and fits in the Pip Boy. If you have a Woolworths rewards card, chances are you have a $10 offer at BigW which brings it to $19.

well one month on there's still a crap tonne of Pip Boy collector's editions for sale on ebay and gumtree. So again, not a limited edition collector's run in my opinion.
The Pip-boy wasn't Limited Edition.
Too bad the pipboy itself is flimsy and breaks easy.
