    Very pricey. It does have pops in 23 countries.

    The "No Speed Loss" claim isn't possible.
    The "We Don’t Keep Logs" claim then says that they do keep logs.
    Privacy policy 5) states "We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties" then goes on to detail tht in fact they may.

    I would suggest you read their privacy policy it's filled with contradiction

    May favourite is the testimonial from Anna T.
    “With SaferVPN it feels like I have a virtual bodyguard against online spies.”
    Obviously didn't realise its a company based in Israel.

    • ISPs monitor your browsing activities, VPNs don't monitor or store your browsing (websites that you visit). They may keep connection logs (quite a few VPNs do).

      https://www.safervpn.com/legal/privacy
      "What Safer Social Ltd. Retains From SaferVPN sessions:
      - a time stamp when you connect and disconnect to our VPN service;
      - the amount of data transmitted (upload and download) during your session;
      - the IP address used by you to connect to our VPN;
      - the IP address of the individual VPN server used by you.

      We DO NOT store details of, or monitor, the website you connect to or any of the data sent over our network when using our VPN service."

      • Yep, but they say "We don't keep logs" in the Features page,
        it's only in their privacy policy that they state they in fact do. I don't have an issue with them keeping logs (they need to in order to keep the servers running". It's the dodgy claim on the front page, which is contradicted in the fien print. And again, just because they say it, it doesn't mean they do it.

        • They actually clarify what they mean right under that claim.

          "We Don’t Keep Logs
          We don’t keep tabs on your online activities, so your browsing habits remain completely anonymous."

          I guess if somebody doesn't read the second sentence, they can assume no logs at all. so yeah

        • @VPNsecurity: Yeah, my point is that they shouldn't make the claim in the first place. As a VPN expert, you'd know that the industry is full of companies making many questionable, misleading often boardering on farcical claims. The VPN industry is one based on trust. Why should consumers trust a company which makes misleading or deceptive claims about their product? COnsumers shouldn't have to dig through the fine print to find out that the heading claims/featues aren't quite true.

          Anyway don't let people discourage you from psoting these VPN deals, it's always good to see deals up.

        • @supabrudda:

          Yeah, it sort of is misleading, but it's not too bad. 128bit vs 256-bit encryption is a marketing trick too, yet almost all of them exaggerate the importance as if there is a huge difference.

          As far as security goes, I actually know admins from certain "security-oriented" VPN companies that know first hand how much they log (for internal use) even though they claim to be a "zero-logs" company and there are no glaring issues with any of their statements on the website. It doesn't mean any of those logs will ever leave the provider itself or that the provider has any intentions to cooperate with authorities… But I guess if you want to be 100% certain there are no logs because you plan on doing things you shouldn't be doing, you have to purchase hardware and setup everything at home lol. And anyone who knows a bit about security, also knows there is much more to it than a basic encryption tool.

          Reality is that most people buy VPNs because they don't like the idea how much their ISPs/governments know about their online habits, to access streaming services or torrents, or because they live in China with crazy censorship laws.
