Long story short, I am an alcoholic and have just come out of rehab. I love OzBargain but those alcohol deals are triggering me; is there any way to hide alcohol specific deals?

Sounds like a sensible idea to me. Maybe it is something the owners of the site could incorporate into people's profiles. Keep healthy and strong physically and mentally.
Be sure not to read any newspaper or watch tv on commercial channels- full of alcohol ads.

On the deal page, just under all of the social media icons there is a "hide" button. For example, find a Dan Murphy's deal and click the "hide" button, and then tick "hide deals from store".
You will want to do this for all other Bottle Shops. Might be a bit painful getting it done, but once done you are good!

I say don't hide them.
I like beer. Sometimes too much. But too much is not good for my body. And head. And my wallet.
Think of all the money you are saving when you see booze deals and are not buying.
Keep a list of every booze deal and how much you would have spent.
Every 3 months (or what ever period you want) consider what can do with this saved money (whether you do anything or not is your choice).
Screw you booze, you make me weak but I am strong.
Nice idea in principal, but may not work for a recovering alcoholic fresh out of rehab.
