Hi guys,
I want to get a speaker set up to play some tunes in the bedroom. I currently have a decent logitech surround room setup with a small sub, but the problem is I can only play by plugging in to a 3.5mm or from the computer.
I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations on a wireless speaker set up? As there's currently a lot of brands out there, which is the best bang for buck?
Open to suggestions of imports or local stock
Thanks :)
I'm not sure how much you want to spend but for $99 I can recommend the FS1 Ferrari Scuderia bluetooth speaker by Logic 3.
It has mixed reviews but you have to take into account that it was selling for up to $649. It has the old Apple port, which never gets used by me anyway…..although adapters are available. It's Bluetooth - there's an Airplay version available but Bluetooth works fine for me. It needs a little time (10 mins) to set it up properly - connect and adjustment of bass using the iOS app. Obviously, this is done just the once.
On the plus side, it's $99, it has damn good quality sound and volume, it looks ok, it's solid but fairly unobtrusive, it's wireless, it has a nice remote control, it has a jack plug, if required and also a USB charging port. I have mine in the bedroom and it's perfect for me. I've either got Spotify or TuneIn Pro gently sending me to sleep or bouncing the room when I'm in the shower.
For $99 it's a steal.

Some of the reviews are of the Air version, but the link above is for the Bluetooth version. It will work with most smartphones these days - iOS, Android and WP.
