Bunnings have vertical gardens on sale in store for $18.95, still priced at $69 online.
Lots of stock at Northland not sure if the sale is nationwide.

$18.95 isn't bad, but who would pay $69 for this?
For 69, I'd be disappointed.
Not a bad buy at 19.
This price would have to apply where ever the item is available, otherwise they'd have to do a 10% price beat…
they will not price beat a fellow Bunnings store
What excuse would they use?
Either all Bunnings are one store, then all the prices should be the same everywhere. Or all Bunnings are different, then it fits the description in the price beat guarantee. I'd take them to the ACCC if it comes to that…
Just price matched at Bunnings Belconnen. I had them call Northlake to verify and although reluctant they did it
There you go, they might be reluctant, but if they write their price match policy as broadly as they did they have little choice if they don't want to end up fined by the ACCC.
I agree, few weeks ago I was price matching an item from another store. At first they said it was a policy NOT to price match other Bunnings stores because of stock levels and store specific promos. Finally, after being firm and polite, they accepted and it became a manager's discretion price match.
@team teri: Funny that. Someone seems to dislike the ACCC. Every post I mention them in gets negged. I for my part am very glad they exist, there is no one else keeping corporations in check.
The only major shortcoming they have is that international airfares are outside their jurisdiction. What Qantas does with their 'fuel surcharges' at a time when oil is close to its cheapest price in a decade can't be described as anything else but fraud.
I have had a bunnings pricematch and beat by 10% another bunnings before it was 3 or 4 years ago though
If they don't price match to Bunnings, then who the hell else would they price match? Mitre 10, the NZ chain? Big W, KMart, some other store that has nothing to price match? "If you find it for less at another store, we'll beat it by 10%". Maybe they price match themselves, lol.
By the way, $69 for a piece of plastic is exhorbident. When did bargains turn to actual worth?
Ozbargain is entirely about price/% discount. Value is virtually never considered.
What's the actual size of the whole thing? How many buckets does it come with?
approx 620mm x 325mm.. one bracket
8 buckets
Mine arrived yesterday.
$17.10
Girlfriend picked up 3 of thesengrom Bunnings, $19. Same day as the Masters one was posted up.(as referenced above)
This was the twin kit, 16 pots. 2x brackets and 2 panels.
Also came with a timer for the water.
Grabbed 3, then went back for another 2.
This is the single one for $19.
Can someone please explain how they sit on the wall?
I am thinking of getting one for my GF, but not sure if we want to be drilling holes in the apartment wall
Definitely would require holes to be drilled. You can't expect this to be hung using suction cups? Lol
yeh suction cups…. lol :P
although if you wanted to avoid drilling holes you could simply use some skyhooks instead?
I bought 6 from Cranbourne. The staff were sceptical about the $19 price but it is in the system. Look for more in the storage shelves way up top.
Bunnings Bayswater - The sticker says $70 , but they scan at $18.95. I grabbed 4, and there are 3 left.
I've been eyeing this off for a while because the only room left I have to grow in my backyard is the walls but $70 is asking too much, but $18.95 is fair.
Can we hang it on colorbond fencing panel without drilling?
You might be able to hot glue a bit of wood to the fence and attach the wall screws from the kit to that instead of drilling your fence. You'd want some strong glue once you factor in the weight of the plants, soil and water in the buckets.
I wouldn't hold it with glue, would def drill holes in fence - don't think there's any other option
Make some hooks to hook it to the top of the fence would be one way.
Or get two lengths of timber, and use those at "legs" for the unit.
Something like this http://www.biggreenleaf.com.au/colorbond-hooks/
half a doz on shelf at Kirrawee (not marked down) along with the other wall kits (garden section in one of the aisles). Didn't buy so don't know if they scan at above price.
Harrisdale, WA - Stock but $80 will not match any price.
Cockburn, WA - Half a pallet left @ $18.95
Bibra Lake, WA - None left but were $18.95
I don't see how they can refuse to price match in this circumstance . Their price match policy is pretty clear.
Apparently its down to each store and they were not price matching!! Quite rude about it too.

could be a liquidation sale ?
@nrg2010: Im guessing its end of line
Coburg, Vic - No stock
Broadmeadows, Vic - Grabbed the last 2
No go at nunawading, scanning at 80
has anyone ever tried horizontal folk dancing in a vertical garden?
For anyone still interested I bought a double pack with a timer for $30 from chatswood. Down from 99. Clearance sale.
this is nationwide
