I got one for just over $1 about 2 months back… At the Preston store.
Proof or it didn't happen.lol
I don't need proof. I'll believe anyone brave enough to go to Bunnings at Preston.
Never buy the $1 ones they always bend. There's $4 branded ones available that are 10x as good.
Agree. Not worth it when part way through a job.
How do these compare to the Macaulay brand?
What is the difference between the "skeleton" version and the other? I am not sure what it mean as I always believe there is only one type.
The cheaper version doesn't support the tube, as pressure is put on the end of the cartridge it tends to bend in the middle.
Referring to the following 2 versions:
1.

2.

Does it mean the "skeleton" refer to the body of the gun?
Yep the body of the skeleton gun is supported top and bottom where the cheaper one is open at the top and the cartridge wants to jump out the top.
Not seeing a $1 gun here in WA shows up as $3.80. A shame as I am always losing these and at $1 I could have stocked up.
Currently available at North Lakes QLD. Use the code diydays for an additional 10% off.
They're normally around $1 at bunnings…
