Annoyed with The Good Guys 30 Day Price Guarantee

Loving the bargains on here and I've been lurking for a long time. Just made an account to express my annoyance with The Good Guys. I purchased the Electrolux Ergospace ZE347 from them for $195 and later found it cheaper at Masters Chullora store for $149. Submitted the 30 day price guarantee but apparently because it's a clearance sale it doesn't qualify. Why does that matter? I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation but I'd like to know. Sad =(. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is anything you can do if the sale is actually clearance. Many price guarantee or matching policy say that they include clearance prices.

  • many businesses just try not to give you when you're trying to get money back from them, in the end we might blame our self for failing to read those hidden T&C.

clearance items are often sold below cost and are often of very low quantity, thus its unfair to use as a comparison for a price match/guarantee , its normally in the price match/guarantee t.c.

That makes sense. Yeah it was in the T&C but i didn't understand why. Oh well, if anyone wants a decent and cheap vacuum go to Masters Chullora!

are you annoyed with them, or yourself for not reading the T's and C's ?

Just buy the one from Masters and return it to Good Guys with their receipt?

  • I bet there are quiet a few around here very happy with TGG price promise having received an EFTPOS card for ~$1170.
