Any experience with these fridge models ?

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking for a fridge,
My requirements are,

Around 500L
1. Side by side preferred
2. Good energy rating
3. Quality/durability
4. Price <2000

I had a look around and currently, these are in my shortlist,

Samsung 580L Side by Side Refrigerator

I would like to know,
1. Any experience with any of the above, good/bad ?
2. Any suggestions, recommendations as to brands/specific models?
3. If I am looking at minimum, 3 yrs of use, after that I might have to sell and move, woudl you recommend buying off gumtree etc..?

    Buy a Mitsubishi. Stay away from Samsung.

    I have the Westinghouse 610L since Feb 2014. No bad experiences so far. I bought it because it's Australian Made. Also, you should buy it new for the warranty. Again, no problems so far. It's cold and has been cold even since I have switched it on.

    Remember, once it is delivered, let the fridge sit there for a few hours for the gas etc to settle.

    When we were looking at fridges, the chemical smell coming out of the Samsungs was enough to put us off.

    We've given up buying Fisher and Paykel appliances, as we found them to be fairly short-lived. We always choose to buy extended warranty, and found that by the time that was expired the item was on its last legs. There also wasn't a single one of them that we didn't need to make use of the extended warranty.
