As you may or may not be aware da gummints bought the nerd flavoured Koolaid and is intent on convincing all and sundry to allow their health records to be made fully electronic.
Since no one in their right mind would agree to such a thing for various reasons* da gummints then changed the "choice" from one of having to opt-in to be part of the new you-byoot system to an opt-out system. If this is all news to you don't worry, the gummints really doesn't want you opting out. Or even knowing there was a choice to start with actually. Nothing to see here :p

Which looks suspiciously like a tender for a system to hand your health data over to third parties in an anonymised form. The joke being that revealing actual identities with a very high rate of accuracy is possible with many data points - just like this data set.
*: in my case the reason is it only takes 1 breach and your infoz is leaked forever and health data is of particular value to criminals.
Is there anything we can do? or is it just another case of we're boned
