Each to their own :) We have a different quota allowance to them, more parked and addon domains, and free included Telephone support. So basically it's an extra $7 a year for Telephone Support (they charge $2.95 per month), and it has higher addon/parked allocations, and we include 50GB of transfer rather than 25GB. It's just a matter of your requirements.
lol cove are $49 for 1 year or $99 for 2 years. Chombo are cheaper include more bandwith and also include phone support as standard whereas cove charge an extra $2.95 per month.
Note that chombohost gives 5 addon and parked domains, whereas Cove/VentraIP's deal of the decade has no extra addon/parked domains. I'll go with it and see how well it goes..
Pretty cheap price for 50GB of monthly data transfer. However you guys look like to be pretty new in business? From your MRTG graph in your about page, it does not look like it's pulling a lot of traffic (i.e. not that many customers).
Chombo has been around for around a year now, was previously owned by SONET Pty Ltd. The MRTG graphed link is one of our two links, though admittedly both don't run too hot. Our customers (there's a reasonable amount) seem to be pretty restrained for the most part, which is one of the reasons we've decided to run this promotion.
It's a case of unused resources, so we thought we'd share the love a bit. We're basically trying to get the word out a bit more, and OzBargain users seem to be a grateful bunch so we thought we'd offer an exclusive promotion.
Edit: Also, if we had the MRTG Graph on a longer period you'd see it spikes for a few hours particular on weekdays. Check it out tomorrow in the afternoon and you'll notice a dramatic difference. As we mentioned on the about page, Web Hosting tends to be quite "bursty" in nature for bandwidth.

technogear, the 10% standard annual discount + the 25% ozbargain discount equals just over 32% off the annual price. Not sure exactly why it's misleading, if you're concerned about the recurring price, I've just altered the code to make it recurring. :) I'll ensure this gets changed on all the accounts that have signed up on this code as well within the next day.
cove.com.au have cheaper plans and more storage space if you sign for 1 year or 2 year. I paid $49 for 2 years which gives 2GB space/25G transfer.
They have cpanel and their service is pretty good as well. I think they have 3 addon and parked domains each.
