I don't think so, seems to be the price from before the sale so might just sell items cheaper on their website due to the lower fees

The difference in price would be close to their eBay fees.

  • Hi,

Just to share my personal experience on purchasing goods on eBay. I got a good final price when purchasing a good from eBay after applying a certain discount (e.g. 20% off) even though I know their price in eBay is more expensive than go to directly the store own website. The variance is about $40-$90 depending on the item type. So it's still a lot cheaper when comparing head to head from the money spent in eBay.
There are certain fees the store needs to pay to eBay in order to list their goods. Some other reason there might be a co-owner promotion or similar run by eBay and store nationwide e.g. Black Friday, Cyber deal etc.

But for your example, I can say it is a huge discount compare when you buy directly in store (Assuming there is no similar discount applied).
    Listing price : $ 899.00
    Discount 20% : $ 179.80
    Total : $ 719.20

    Delivery : $ 5.00

eBay takes a cut out of sales so, retailers must increase prices. It's just to offset the fees they have to pay ebay.

  • Actually, it was 844 earlier today (on the eBay sale, before the 20%) - someone posted this on another thread and I confirmed it.

Almost jumped but the Core M-5Y10 is just not quite enough.

But 720 (900 less 20%) is still a great price for a nice piece of kit.

    • Core M5y10 appears to be not far off the benchmarks for a Core i5, however much better power consumption, as expected for a "M" designation processor.

      • I wish I knew what to believe.

This is from a review of this laptop:

"As long as you’ll stick to basic activities like browsing with only several tabs opened, watching video content (both streamed or from the computer), editing documents, listening to music, chatting with your friends, etc, you’re going to be fine. However, you might still encounter hiccups when switching between the apps, so try to keep multitasking at bare minimum.

On top of that, there’s still a general impression of sluggishness, a lack of instant response, even when performing the most basic of chores, like launching a browser or opening a new Explorer window. I’m probably biased here, since I’m used to much faster computers and my tolerance for delays is basically NILL, but I still had to mention this, so you don’t build up false expectations."
