Has quite a bit of input lag for those thinking of using it for gaming: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-test-results/input-lag

i dont think this is that much of a bargain. its not 4k. i purchased a 55" 1080p TV over a year ago for $500 delivered. yes its smart but its not as smart as plugging an apple tv / roku / android device into it. 100hz its the only upside

    • 55 1080p for $500? Was it on ozbargain?

    • A 55" TV for $500??? The best deal on OzBargain last year was a 48" for $500 on Boxing Day! Generic brand?

Yea this is a name brand. You pay for the quality.

I like the part where you don't mention the brand

  • Wow now that's an awesome deal. Nice.

  • good deal keep up the good work op

  • Another thing to be noted is that processor is dual core as against Samsung which is quad core and available at similar price at TGG. That Samsung TV has similar specs but a bit better in my opinion.

It's a complete toss-up on choice between this and the Samsung. I picked up this LG yesterday. Loving it so far, the picture is sharp and WebOS2 is excellent. Definitely can't go wrong with this TV at this price, I'm very happy with it so far.

    • Same, very happy.

  • Does the discount applies to shipping cost as well?

  • I purchased the Samsung one. 1 inch smaller but much better reviews and faster processor. In my opinion, Samsung was better in specs with an extra HDMI port as well unless you want extra 1 inch screen which is not a lot of difference.

Samsung seem to have the better specs on paper but in reality they somehow manage to make their interfaces and features slow and laggy.

      • I have to agree. The webos 2 on the LG is snappy as. Even only with dual core.

        Better interface or more friendly.

Only gripe is network steaming off my nas is only with plex or media player and not directly as a network share. I don't how it do it.

  • The Samsung 48J6200 is a better TV ranked by Choice. This TV only received an average score of 59 compared to the Samsung with 68.

    • Samsung J6200 doesn't have HEVC. Any H.265 encoded videos won't be playable on the Samsung J6200. LG wins hands down.

      • Any other positives for The Samsung or LG?

        • Interface is better in the LG

        • @diddy50:

Personal preference. They're both good interfaces. The LG is more obtrusive IMO.

      • you can get a separate media player for that…

    Very nice. Thanks Pielo.

How much for that mask you got? Lol

  • wow bought this tv 2 months ago for $940 and thought that was a bargain! very happy with the tv

  • Good deal, but have gone off LG. Last one keeps on giving false input connection error messages that we can't stop

  • 49" is such a weird size. Usually it goes: 42, 48, 50, 55, 60 etc - Anyone know why this is the case?

  • Anyone tried click and collect with good guys? Giving it a go here..

    • I did it on Friday at 10.30am, got a call 2 hours later saying it's ready for pick up.

      • Cheers - That's impressive service. Hopefully get a call tomorrow morning.

        • Excellent service indeed.

    • we did for a camera a while back, ordered it at night and got a call the next morning to say pick it up.

  • Got the Samsung one. Thank.
