Hi All,

I need a projector to replace my ancient tv. Any good deals out there?

It will be mainly used with Laptop so needs HDMI input.
1000+ lumens

I got the BenQ W1070 projector last Christmas from OfficeWorks.
Very good image quality, and really bright as well.
Was a decent price at $687 as well.

  Just check the DLP chip as mine died a few months out of warranty on a different BENQ model. Terrible service from them so won't be buying another BENQ

Benq W1350 is a much better and newer projector than the 1070. Get the W1350

    W1070 finished as a model over 1 year ago. The ones people keep talking about were refurbs/factory second goods.
    
    Replacement model was the W1070+ which is also discontinued
    
    New replacement W1110 is due out soon at $1499 AUD. Suddenly the W1350 is not such a bad buy.

      People bought W1070s for $600ish. You are talking about a $2000 projector. That is like comparing a Commodore to an M3.
