Thanks to a recent break in I am looking to upgrade the cameras and DVR at my business and confused by the immense number of options available. As the ceiling are about 3.5m high I am not overly keen to replace current analog cables with those suitable for PoE cables unless absolutely necessary. Looking to have a reasonable system that does not have to be state of the art but good enough to recognise faces.

My two cents,
If it was me I'd be looking at high def IP Cameras or IP cameras in general, as there are so many more advantages with them over older analog systems, better to get faces too, though they are more costly. What is your budget?, Could you maybe place one or two near customer areas or where needed? depending on your business of course.
If you get the new Net gear Arlo system you just have to place the wireless cameras via a magnet and job done, though be aware of their limitations.
In saying that, is your current system that you have at the moment working fine with no hiccups and enough ports on the back for the new cameras?, if so try and save a bit of coin and just upgrade it with the cameras, unless you want the new system.
