Did some research on a cheap laptop and this seems alright considering Dick Smith has a similar one for $433 on their Black Friday Sale.
I have three on my Asus Zenbook and I rarely ever use more than one. You can always get a cheap bluetooth mouse too.
The main issue for me is the screen resolution. For such a big screen you would want at least Full HD. Still, at this price I can't seem to find anything comparable.

The main issue (for me, anyway) with these Asus laptops is that they usually only have 2 x USB ports (in total). Once you have a mouse plugged in, that only gives you 1 USB port to use for everyday tasks. Not really good enough, you need 3 USBs minimum…
