I have this exact model and it is the single best piece of tech I have ever owned. There is only one on clearance though.

Yes, it can be taken apart. But save yourself the trouble dude. 320GB notebook hard drives cost lesser. Western Digital 320GB drive only costs 67 at CPL. I'm sure you can find something even cheaper if you try.
