    Do not buy Foscam! I was very happy with them until they have recently updated their android app. It is now very unstable and full of advertisements. Their intention is to move owner across to their cloud base app and server which is also unstable and hard to setup. To be honest I don't trust anyone to retain my video in their cloud server especially the communist.

    Google foscam app and you will see flood of complaints from current owners. I have 3 Foscams and was their advocate but not any more.

    I am bewildered by this company's suicidal moves around Christmas shopping period.

      Hi there,

      As far as i'm aware, the old Foscam Viewer App has been supeseded by the new Foscam Cloud app. The cloud app provides options for the owner to use foscam's amazon cloud facilities at a subscription fee but this is not a requirement. It's just an option made available to the owner. All previous function from the Foscam Viewer App has been migrated over to the Foscam Cloud App.

      p.s. The cloud server is not specifically located in China. It's using Amazon cloud services which are mainly based in US.

        No, it was not superseded. The original Foscam works well. They should leave it alone but instead they have crippled it intentionally. There is no other way to explain this.

        Hello Jason, thank you for giving your time to reassure me and other potential customers. I still felt Foscam could have handle the situation better than updating the original app with crashes and advertisements to force user to move into the new cloud apps. I would rather the company build a new app which is much superior to the old app to entice the transition; A reward rather punishment which your company have done.

      I am using tinycam pro (i think it is on sale) instead/with foscam software.
      Was using with my foscam babycam till it bricked itself after a update from foscam. :)

      also not a fan of the cloud based service.

      Not at this moment although the usual volume discounts apply as well as free 3m extension cables for each FI9805E, FI9803EP, FI9853EP (free sd card also) are in place.

    Your "from" prices on the front page are annoying and feel deceptive. If you are confident your prices are the best put it on the front page for the 99% of people who aren't buying more than 10 cameras at a time.
