You're only half interested?
I thought this was free? I am I just dreaming?
This has to be explained every time the game gets posted. It's like saying isn't CS:GO free because CS was once a free mod.

It was supposed to be free but they realise why not just charge for it because we can.
Their justification is they changed engine and stopped developing the free version and made a paid product based on the same thing.
Can you provide me a link to the games you have spent countless hours on creating and then given away for free?
FTFY: Black
MessaMesa - 52% OffYou win.
It is a bit of a mess though?
Fixed :)
I can imagine Jar Jar playing this game
Will they update the XEN levels for the paid for version, as opposed to the unfinished free version?
Xen levels are only updated in the paid version. Free version will not be worked on anymore.
HL Episode 3 already!
You mean HL3?
you must be a youngster
Has anybody played this one before?
I've played the free version - it's very pretty indeed, you can almost pretend it's a modern-(ish) title. Makes it thoroughly satisfying to go and replay the entire masterpiece that is Half Life again!
Sounds like a go-er. Will have to check hardware requirements.. Although the game isn't finished yet and I kinda feel like I'd be spoiling it for myself…
The soundtrack (free to download) is probably one of the best parts of Black Mesa but yeah, even though the Source engine is rather long in the tooth now (even with some limited DX11 implementation), Black Mesa still looks more than palatable and many of the most famous chapters and sequences are really impressive (Apache attack on the dam or the cliff-face platforming bit). If you crank the AA and AF, it can still cause your FPS to drop down to 40 even with a really high-end GPU in certain sections.
Seems a bit redundant…
