Your only options then is to McGyver the two broken ends with sticky tape and enjoy it while it lasts, or make a mix tape from American Top 40, pausing at just the right time to not get ads or DJ voice on it.
For the record, I bought Michael Jackson's Thriller brand new after waiting weeks for it- only for this exact scenario to happen to me. I think I actually cried. Good times.
