Hey fellow Ozbargainers,
I'm hoping to go fairly paperless for my wedding - including in regards to invites.
Instead, we are hoping to have a website (login protected) which will have details about the location, some travel hints, a section to RSVP etc.
Unfortunately, I know jack all about building websites.
I am from Adelaide, and am looking into local companies.
People of Ozbargain, is there anything that you guys can recommend?

Thanks for the input so far. Just to clarify, I'm not particularly interested in electronic invitation services. We have a lot of people from interstate so we want a fully fledged website with information on local places, food, weekend ideas etc and one can't just put that in an e invite

Google docs. Very easy
RSVP can just be a form via a private link from the main page.
You can edit it like a word processor and its all free
The form results would output into a spreadsheet, very easy for labels etc

What's your budget? If you're not looking to spend much you'd have to try and build it yourself.
I'd create it in Wordpress. You can get plugins that make it so you need to enter a password to view the site (I use them all the time with my clients to view live sites pre-launch).
There are companies set up to do exactly what you're after.

The free website (like that one above at The Knot) will give you everything you're after - totally customisable, can be privately shared, has e-invites and reminders, can manage gift registry info etc. It's quite popular nowadays to keep as much as possible online.
You can send a electronic invitation. There are plenty of websites that do what you need. Creating a website from scratch is over kill.
