Where Is The Best Place to Sell Excess Exclusive Dog Jewellery Stock?

Hi, my company has diverted into a new industry (not pet accessories). We have very excess stock of exclusive (USA & FRANCE) dog jewelry such as collars, pendants and so on in Sterling silver, Swarovski, quality leather. We do not have the time to continue to sell dog accessories (wholesale) and would like to sell the lot in one go.

Wholesale cost for us to purchase the stock was app. $US3000.

Where is the best place to sell the stock without too much hassle? I have been thinking about ebay but as the items are not made in China they ARE more expensive and needs to be viewed to be appreciated.

One of the Swarovski leather leads was bought from the USA wholesale for $750 (Dorothy Bauer collection). Yes, VERY expensive but the designer is the same designer and creator that made the pendants for Legally Blonde (remember Bruce).

Before any silly comments, we bought it as a showpiece for our pet fashion shows.

I appreciate if all the comments and suggestions are serious and genuine as we need to sell this stock to move the money into our new business. Thanks for your time.

You would have to be barking mad to pay that much for dog accessories.
Have you tried the flea markets?
It would be difficult for these items to fetch what you paid.
You would need to roll over and accept a loss on such items.

OK I'm glad that is out of the way.
Seriously though, you would be better off approaching people at pet shows, only those people will know the true value of them and would be wasting your time on Gumtree or Ebay. Much better chance selling them individually and even then you need to be able to prove they are legit and seeing as you are not an authorized seller I don't like your chances. I wouldn't but a Gucci bag or ebay or anything because of the probability of fakes regardless of the quality they appear to be.

  • I like the suggestion "do a call around to dog day care centres in well to do neighbourhoods". Might be a good idea.

    The pieces are beautifully handcrafted.
