LG Washer/Dryer Issues

Hi All,

It turns out that LG have some sort of problem with some of their models
Some don't run the rinse cycle properly and (at times) don't take the softener.

THEY DON'T KNOW WHY AND CAN'T FIX IT!

I just had my 4yr old WD1438RD replaced with a brand new WD14030RD!
I just kept calling and complaining that it wasn't working properly - didn't take the softener (which, by the way, it didn't) - they replaced the main board and still did it.

This seems to affect the model above and WD14756SD (steam model)
It's even a free call! 1800-643-156

There are probably more models affected as it appears to be a bug in the code

anyone else ever opened the drawer to see softener still there from the last wash?

MOD: changed title. I understand you got a replacement for free, however its not a guarantee that the general public can get a free washer/dryer combo.

    Mine stays locked until you turn the machine off and on again and then wait five minutes. I know there's a safety reason for it to stay locked until its cool, but mine just won't automatically unlock.

    No Saine - it shouldn't do that - Call them.
    My old one stayed locked for about 2 mins after it finished then there was a CLICK and you could open it.
    The new one plays music and the door can open as soon as the music finishes.

    It's FREE COMPLAIN!
