Hi Guys i am looking for new laptop. just confused between getting i3 4005u 4gb and 256gb ssd or i5 5200u 4gb and 500gb hdd.
i will be using it just for surfing and watching movies no hardcore gaming or apps. booth the models are coming to about same price.
Agree with oz, the i5 is newer and more powerful, but the SSD is where you will reap all the benefits :P
either would be fine.

Just as a counter argument, I would get the one with the i5.
If you find that you need a SSD down the track, it is relatively easy to swap out the drive in a laptop for an SSD. And the SSDs themselves are only getting cheaper.
Whereas very few people have the skills or inclination to change a laptop CPU.
So you might be better getting the one with the more powerful CPU. Yes, the drive is slower than a SSD, but for your intended usage it really won't make that much difference.
Get the i3 model. Although weaker, it has an ssd which will make more of a difference in day to day usage. Downside is that ssd is only have the size of the hdd.
