Hey guys and girls. Our front loader has served us well for 7 years before passing away today.
Need to find a new one. Under $1000 for a family of three and potentially 4. Any reviews on brands would be great as we haven't looked at washing machines in ages.

Thanks for that. Do you think 7.5kg is enough? Or is a bigger unit required?
You're definitely going to need bigger washer for a family of 4. With only myself and my fiance, we do our washing every Saturday and our 7.5kg Fisher and Paykel is only just big enough to do it in one load.
As an aside - our F&P is awesome! They've also got an 8.5kg version, but I'm not sure if even that will be big enough.
I have had this 10kg Lg for nearly 3 years.
In that time it has had a new pump and a new door because the latch snapped and Its already rusting underneath the washing detergent draw.
I upgraded from a 7.5kg Bosch because it was to small for my family of 5. (We do at least a load a day)

This machine doesn't come close to the wash quality of the Bosch - Maybe the later models are better?
Also second the Bosch.
Simply don't have any issues with it. I don't even think about. Which is exactly how I like my white goods.
