Pretty decent deal, this version includes all the DLC, and of course made for the glorious "PC master race".

What's wrong with EB in Victoria?

Is this a download code in a box like fallout 4?

    • +4

      Comes with three install DVD's

      • Sweet. Tempted now.

    • +4

My Fallout 4 came with an install DVD. It still had to download about 20GB though.

      • +3

The install DVD installed an installer, then downloaded 24GB……..

Not a valid reason to neg, but agreed, those people are dicks.

      • +1

Better call Anita Sarkeesian and get yourself a bodyguard, you're being oppressed.

    • +12

Don't be one of those "people who neg for no reason". It's so sad.

      • -2

        There is a reason tho

        • Shall I rephrase it to "people who neg for an invalid reason"?

        • -8

@Dagmar: You shouldn't take things like this so seriously. Its a site were people post deals, who gives a shit about negative votes.

        • +2

          @KorupTx:

          Oh God, are you serious?

        • @KorupTx: Mods incoming. I suggest you take cover KorupTx.

        • +2

If you are a real gamer, you'd not like unnecessary censorship.. A flippant neg vote here can trigger a bandwagon effect where people can actually not see the deal… mic drop

    • Oh the cavalcade of glorious downvotes :)

Why did the console gaming peasant cross the road?

To render the buildings on the other side.

    • That's not the Complete Edition. It doesn't include the DLC.

      • Sorry I did not know that. Anyway I bought the complete edition instore today.
        Thanks OP.

      • +1

        And it's G2A.

  • Relieved EB Vic Gardens (Richmond) of their last copy. Thanks OP.

    Anyone here played the game?

    • +4

finished the game on PC running on a i5 , 16 GB RAM, 290 OC. Depending on your taste I find this game really good. Worth it.

    • +1

Didn't play through far cry 3 but people keep telling me this is similar. I'm loving it though.

    • +1

Very enjoyable game, cool till the end.

    • +2

If you liked Farcry 3 it's more of the same. Both good.

    • +2

The game was a complete disaster at launch, consolized, gimped and poorly optimised for PC. But credit to the dev's though as they ironed out just about all the problems and left it in magnificent condition after about 12 months of solid patches and updates, to bring it up to a really good PC standard. The state of the game now is brilliant and there's a some mod's out there that unleash extra content, weapons and other stuff too, which is really nice.

I wouldn't buy the game (or anything else for that matter) from EB, but the standard key/serial via online sellers of the game is about the same price as this normally anyway.

      • Have they improved the coop mode in anyway? I heard it was lacking compared to Far Cry 3's and I played the shit out of that.

        • It's better, but not by a lot. FC4 is mostly a singleplayer game, with FC3's coop & multiplayer tacked on. You can do the entire game in coop mode though, so there's nothing wrong with it.

        • @infinite: didn't neg you but apparently that's false.

          http://www.co-optimus.com/review/1428/page/2/far-cry-4-co-op…

Only free roam is coop, not the campaign.

        • +3

@ChillBro: Yes and no. That's a very old review. When you play in coop mode now, you either join someone else's game world, or they join yours. Anything you do, collect, unlock or earn in the other players game, you bring back to your game, except just the progress of the main mission parts of the main story line - everything else counts and progresses though when you go back to your own game. As an added bonus, the entire game world opens up when a coop player joins, which you don't fully have access too until like 35% of the way into most of the game content. Considering the game's main storyline and mission account for less than 5% of the overall game and it's progress/achievements, you are not exactly missing out on much. I cant think of a time for example in any FPS or GTA V / sandbox game where I've ever thought to myself "gee, i sure wish I had PlayerMan555 helping me do singleplayer solo campaign mode missions with me". Having them do all the side-mission and item hunting stuff is a lot of fun though (that stuff is all able to be done), although none of that is just as fun as the mass multiplayer part of the game.

        • @infinite: EDIT: Ignore my comment, Infinite's reply above mine is far superior, I would delete my comment if I could figure out how… :/

this was on sale around $4 or euro one of the two last week for origin not sure if it was and error or not

    • That was the Mexican deal

Also, if you're buying in-store, make sure the checkout guy puts in the Complete Edition discs in. At the store I went to, they accidentally put the Limited Edition discs instead (which is $36 too), but luckily I spotted it.

    • How can you tell? I checked the discs and they just said Far Cry 4 :/
Have the code + DLC too

      • +1

On the game manual, there should be a barcode sticker with "Complete Edition" on it. You should also have a 'FC4 Complete Edition' flyer inside with code too.

    • How do you tell the difference? I got the sales person to make sure it was the complete edition but there was nothing written on the discs to indicate it was.

Thanks. Yep, they gave me the wrong one. Typical. Swapped this morning.

  • Do the discs include ALL of the game data? No additional downloads?

    • 3.6GB of updates for me

      • Yep. And no, you have to download the extra stuff. You're given a code for that

      • +1

That's respectable enough. I wish Steam and co would have GoG's updating system. Was so nice to install Witcher 3, update it to 1.06 because that was a respectable size, and just start playing. Forcing you to update before you can play it sucks.

        • Since when has Steam forced you to update before you play? For online games it makes sense, but apart from that any updates seem optional to me.

        • @CyberGenesys:

Forcing you in the sense the CD doesnt come with all the game on it (i think is what misskitty meant)
