Orange Triad Multi-Vitamin (270 Caps) $45.91 & Agmatine Sulphate (75gm) $27.13 @ iHerb

40

Was recently searching for a worthy multi-vitamin alternative to Opti-men when I recently discovered "Orange Triad" made by Controlled Labs and it's worth noting that this product scores a respectable 9.2/10 on bodybuilding.com from 468 reviews!

As the name suggests this product is claimed to support "optimal digestion, the immune system and joint health".
The bottle contains nearly half a kilo of product which is an impressive 270 tabs!

Serving suggestion is 3 tabs, twice daily which will get you 45 days if consistent with your dosage. Personally I'm taking three per day post workout so I plan to get at least 3 months supply out of this purchase. Check the reviews for yourself as this is a quality product at a reasonable price for those of us with busy lifestyles that need a boost to our nutritional intake.

In addition to the above I also picked up a couple of tubs of Gat branded Agmatine Sulphate which comes in quantities of 75gms.

Previous to this I was buying my Agmatine from Bulk Nutrients for a similar price but with only 2/3 the quantity. In my opinion, the fact that this product comes in a tub is a bonus as the serving sizes are so small it makes it a lot easier to manage.

As far as the serving sizes go, they range between 750mg to 1.5g which will depend on a number of different factors. From my experience of using Agmatine on and off for a couple years is that 1gm is an ample serve for noticeable effects and increased pump. I highly recommend the use of micro-scales as this will help you get the most of your purchase and to only use what you need.

For those of us who aren’t familiar with Agmatine Sulphate may perhaps have heard of Arginine and its ability to increase the nitric oxide effect on the body during a workout. Agmatine is a by-product of Arginine’s absorption. In other words, its what the body breaks Arginine down into which explains why a small dosage is required to achieve pronounced effects.

Without confusing the topic further, the two should not be taken together as Arginine will block the path of the Agmatine Sulphate by competing for absorption. I'd even go as far as to recommend that you consider taking it a good 20 mins before your pre-workout should it contain either, arginine, creatine and/or caffeine to allow for better absorption. I've played around with this method and believe me it works though if your in a rush or don't care for the science then just mix it in with your pre-workout powder for minimal fuss.

  • I remember when I used to get this for $35 . $50 is a bit overpriced for a multivitamin

Go with a generic version from iHerb for less than half the price . I've tried the cheaper ones and they are as good

    • +1

Cheaper versions use inferior forms of certain vitamins, which does make a difference. I compared a lot of popular multivitamins a few years back and orange triad was one of only a few that used the best form of every vitamin it includes. Even the ON multivitamin had a lot of cheap/inferior forms of certain vitamins, which was quite disappointing as On is a reputable brand. Since then I jsut stick with orange Triad.

As I said before, there are a few that are cheaper and comparable and also there are some that use inferior ingredients. Pm me if you're interested

      • There are cheaper ones that use comparanle compounds.

  • No saving on Orange Triad.
Muscle and strength sell 270caps at normal price of $30.99US (~$43.51AUD)
bodybuilding.com sell it $40.60AUD plus with there current promotion you get two free Orange Oximega Fish Oil 30 Softgels

    • Last time I bought it a year ago to try it was ~ $35. Can't remember exactly where I bought it from .

These are also a few brands that I've used that are comparable to orange triad and heaps cheaper . It's just an overpriced multi vitamin . Your basically buying the brand name

And the other guy wasn't ?

        • +1

@nismo: I thought he was actually referring to the capsules, not orange people.

        • @Chickenleg:
          That is a possibility (also)

        • Yeah, I misread and didn't get the bad joke.

Was recently searching the net for a worthy multi-vitamin alternative to the Opti-men

it's called a bowl of veggies. costs a fraction of the price and is actually beneficial to your health as well.

  • I use Swisse Multi Vitamin

    • I used to use those. For some reason I get acne flare ups. Must be some ingredient in them that I'm sensitive to.

I prefer some meat, nice bread, a little salad … Usually in the form of a Big Mac.
