    Felco would be a great choice, excellent quality. Even their cheaper shears like the F300 are very good IMO, lightweight and durable.

    Friskars would be equivalent to say Ford and Holden, Felcos are your Mercedes, I have always found it cheapest buying Felcos on eBay straight from Germany. Felco 2's are the most common ones with a RRP of about $90, The Felco 7's are a step up with a rotating handle with a RRP of about $110.
