So I actually bought this G4 from someone, who bought it from qd_au on eBay, however the phone is having some problems.
I have looked at their eBay page and they have their warranty details, but not how to contact them. I contacted them through eBay but they have not replied. Any advice? Has anyone got warranty from them before?

Is the warranty transferable?
Consumer guarantees would apply if OP were the original buyer. But it's of no use here.
According to ACCC:
Consumer guarantees do not apply to goods that:
•were bought from one-off sales by private sellers, such as garage sales and school fetes
so, we can forget about Aussie consumer protection laws since they are not relevant anymore.
The problem is that QD_AU is a taiwanese seller and the phone is a grey import, so ACCC is of no help. So the only way to get the ebay seller to do something is to open up an ebay dispute… something that you cannot do.
Contact the private seller and see if he/she can help.

Is it weird that the qd_au store on ebay is now timing out if I try to contact them??
Btw, the person I have bought the phone from provided me with all of the details required by qd_au on their warranty page.
eBay is currently experiencing some back-end issues.
Depends on what problem you're having, sometimes it's quicker or cheaper to have phone repair shops fix it for you, or you can buy the parts and do it yourself.
May I ask what the problem is? I too had a problem with G4 (screen ghosting) on a phone purchases from eBay kogan store in one if the deals in September. Return and refund was very easy from kogan.
Just open up a PP dispute. I'll guarantee you will have a response within 4-5 days.
