Just bought an Xbox One - should i sell it?

Hey guys just ordered the XB1 + fifa 16 for $340 deal going around. Wanted to play Fallout 4 and amittedly cause it was cheap.

But now im thinking if i made the right choice… i have a x360 i hardly used. I have a TS140 desktop which i could upgrade with a 750TI gfx card to be able to match or exceed consoles for $180 (considered overpriced now). (specs: Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 70A4 - Core i3 4330 3.5 GHz - 4 GB RAM - HD4400)

Should i sell my XB1 and copy of Fallout 4 and opt instead to upgrade my PC for a measly $200? What other advantages are there of owning a console like the xbox one?

Im slightly vision impaired so find that for playing games on the tv i need to wear glasses… which is annoying. I used to play games a lot but have much less time these days.

    I mostly use my XB1 as a media player and for that use it is not bad. Not sure how a 750ti would handle fallout anyway, I would look at a 290 even if second-hand.

      Interesting… will i get value if i already have a chromecast and western digital player?

      Dont think i can get 290. The TS140 laptop is PCie only (no 6pin)

        Oh my bad I thought that may have been a desktop. Personally would avoid a laptop for fallout how it currently is. This is coming from someone with 980ti sli evga hybrids.

          No, my bad. It was a typo. Meant desktop. TS140 from last year (decent, basic desktop) with additional SSD. 24" Full HD screen.

        Not sure about the Chromecast as I've never tried it, but the Xbox One is far superior as a media player than the Western Digital players.

    Keep the XBONE. You can use it for netflix to play music etc.

    I don't know much about graphic cards but it seems the 750TI gfx came out early last year from a quick google so it might not be the best choice.

    Do you have a Laptop or a Desktop?

      Rubbish laptop 8 years old.

      As with desktop i have a Lenovo TS140 from last year. Cheap but pretty good performance (and with a SSD) - integrated gfx card though. 750TI from my understanding is the best i can get as it doesn't have the 6 pin connector needed for most gfx cards. Just PCie.

      Doesn't Chromecast do netflix as well? I'm interested in the split screen feature of playing a game + watching tv / netflix… wondering if the audio comes from both sources or just one source?

        You can adjust the volume mixer for both sources

    id say keep the xbox one as for a used console you wont get much for it.

      Seems to suggest that the PC rig is better? I'd save about $130 going with the gfx card

    If you ever consider returning something, go with your instincts and return it.

    I wouldn't keep a product I was sceptical about. Thats just my input but do what you want :)

    XB1 lets you play FIFA more easily with friends / relatives if that's something you're likely to do. Otherwise there's also free games with gold every month and backwards compatibility coming soon which will let you be able to play 100+ titles from Xbox 360 (assuming you have owned them already).

      Honestly hardly know anyone who owns an xbox one. Might get the EA Access over Xbox Gold. Cheaper and more immediate collection. Assuming the games i get through these services are forever even if i unsubscribe?

      I do have 360 titles… GTA5 for 360 (finished about 20%), Max Payne 3 and a few i haven't touched.
